Oura and LillyDirect, Eli Lilly’s digital health platform, have partnered to support people using prescribed GLP-1 therapies for obesity or diabetes.
Under the collaboration, LillyDirect customers will receive a free Oura Ring sizing kit. The wearable tracks sleep duration and quality, heart rate and heart rate variability, body temperature trends, and activity and movement, helping users monitor health metrics during treatment.

The companies describe the effort as a way to pair prescription access with behavioral tools for tracking sleep, stress, and readiness. LillyDirect connects patients with chronic conditions to providers, pharmacy services, and disease-specific resources. The platform is integrated as a pharmacy option in major electronic health record systems, streamlining the process for healthcare providers to direct patients to its services.
“At Lilly, we’re thinking about what patients need throughout their entire care journey, not just at the point of prescription but in the daily moments that shape long-term success,” Jennifer Mazur, senior vice president of U.S. LillyDirect and Consumer Services at Eli Lilly, said in a statement. She called it part of building “a more complete ecosystem around the patient.”
Oura recently launched GLP-1 Insights, an app feature for members on these medications. It combines manually logged data—like dosing, side effects, and weight—with Oura’s own signals on sleep, activity, readiness, and stress.

The company reports that over half its members identify as overweight or obese, with tens of thousands already tracking GLP-1 use in its app.
Dr. Ricky Bloomfield, Oura’s chief medical officer, said these therapies open a window for behavior change. “GLP-1 therapies are increasingly being recognized not just for their clinical impact, but for the critical window they can create for meaningful behavior change,” he told MobiHealthNews. He added that wearable tech like the Oura Ring can help users see how treatment affects sleep, stress, and overall health, noting that the device is not a medical tool but a means of personal insight. He further explained that the collaboration aims to support a connected care experience, helping people feel more informed and supported in developing sustainable daily habits for long-term metabolic health.

This partnership follows a broader push by digital health, retail, and pharmaceutical companies to support GLP-1 access and adherence. In April, knownwell joined LillyDirect, adding its hybrid primary and metabolic care services to the platform’s provider network for patients seeking metabolic healthcare. Retailers like Walmart have also expanded their involvement, previously partnering with Eli Lilly to offer direct-to-consumer pricing for Zepbound single-dose vials through LillyDirect, alongside telehealth visits, medication management, and personalized care plans.
Oura has been expanding its own health-tracking features. In May, it unveiled the GLP-1 Insights tool.
